From contested numbers around Brexit to the perennial dubious health claims, we are constantly surrounded by people trying to support their arguments with facts and figures.  The trouble is that data can be made to say almost anything, depending on how you present it.  How, then, can we all protect ourselves from being misled by ‘alternative facts'?

In this evening event, the Winton Centre for Risk & Evidence Communication in association with Big Data Cambridge, bring together a panel of experts with very different backgrounds to help tackle the problem, with open questions from the audience. Drinks will be available before and after the event to help encourage discussion.
